  • Drosera Petiolaris Complex Soil

    Drosera Petiolaris Complex Soil

    $5.00
This soil is the product of four years in Drosera petiolaris complex sundew growing experience. It is loose enough for excellent root growth, water-retentive enough to reach smaller rooted plants (for plugs, seedlings with short roots and tray watering method), It's open enough for top watering and provides great aeration.

The mixture is a proprietary blend of Canadian peat moss, long fiber sphagnum, medium grade recycled crushed glass, coarse silica sand, perlite and calcined clay (for some species). Each ingredient as been rinse twice, then mixed and rinsed one more time. The soil is then left to air dry.

  • Pinguicula Weser (FAKE)

    Pinguicula Weser (FAKE)

    $19.99$14.99
This plant does not look like a 'Sethos' to us and the flower does not look like a 'Weser'. So out of confusion, it was much easier to label this plant a fake, but its gorgeous look and form is not. This was my very first Pinguicula and I had no idea about anything CP, so of course it took me a long while to learn it was a fake, I received it back in 2014 and it is this very carnivorous plant that started my CP obsession. Without it, I would have never had the thought to bring so many Petiolaris Complex to America. So , that very reason is why I don't just discontinue it and get a real 'Weser' or a 'Sethos' to replace it. That would be easy to do, but replacing the symbolic plant that welcomed me into this fascinating hobby would be difficult. All of the Weser (fakes) I sell are clones of the very first carnivorous plant I ever purchased.

    Purchase options are:

Bare-root - plant is sold without soil and is carefully packaged.

With soil - Plant is bare-root carefully packaged and includes 1 cup of mineral soil specifically made for Pinguiculas. It is rinsed 3x plus sterilized before shipment. (Recommended)

  • Drosera darwinensis x ordensis

    Drosera darwinensis x ordensis

    $14.99
This another hybrid that has amazed us. It doesn't matter what humidity it is grown in, it will produce a lot of hair on its wide leaves turning them white. Then for no reason, it will change its mind and green hairless leaves will grow from the center. It repeats this cycle over and over. There is no setting a watch by it tho. It changes whenever it wants. The only thing that does stay consistent are the big round traps that easily produce dew.

    Pinguicula Yucca Doo 1713

    $19.99
Pinguicula Yucca Doo 1713 (Label: ABG 97-1713 Yucca Do 60-19-031695) may possibly be a new species considering there are many new species that have yet to be discovered. As far as we are concerned, it sure looks like a unique species, even though it is still a mystery to us and the rest of the growers around the world. This plant does not grow very large. So far we have gotten one to grow 1 inch in diameter. But for its small size, the leaves have a very deep elongated concave in the center that matches the leaf's shape. The center of each leaf can turn a shade of light pink to dark red depending on the amount of light. This beautiful color is contrasted with a light green lip that curves inward to help keep trapped bugs and dew contained. Unfortunately, there isn't much information to help understand the location of this species, but it is fun to own one to document and research.

Bare-root - plant is sold without soil and is carefully packaged.

With soil - Plant is bare-root carefully packaged and includes 1 cup of mineral soil specifically made for Pinguiculas. It is rinsed 3x plus sterilized before shipment. (Recommended)

  • Drosera (ordensis x brevicornis) x darwinensis

Drosera (ordensis x brevicornis) x darwinensis

    $19.99
This is one of our FAVORITES! It is a triple hybrid. The seed parents are a hybrid of ordensis x brevicornis. Its pollen parent is darwiniensis. They are from the Drosera petiolaris complex sundew group. Its leaves are very wide from the base and only begins to taper off just before it reaches its large round traps. They have a very small amount of pubescent hair. Once mature it will flower daily. Matter of fact, I never have one that isn't in bloom every day. Most have two or three blooms every day on one plant. One plant will have multiple flower stalks up to six inches or more and will produce up to 70 flowers on just one stalk. This is perfect for us since we use this plant as the base genetics to our "breeding program". Sign up for notifications to be alerted when its offspring are available for sale.
The flowers are snow white and produce a decent amount of pollen.

    Purchase options are:

Bare-root - plant is sold without soil and is carefully packaged.

With soil - Plant is bare-root carefully packaged and includes 1.5 cups of soil that specifically made for petiolaris complex and is rinsed 3x plus sterilized before shipment.

  • Drosera fulva x darwinensis

    Drosera fulva x darwinensis

    $19.99
This plant shows more of its pollen parent darwinensis rather than its seed parent - fulva. Its long slender green leaves that lead to large traps really make it look more like some forms of Drosera kenneallyi. All it would need is some Drosera falconeri shaped traps, then it really would. Makes you really think about the evolution of the Drosera kenneallyi and if this hybrid could be the building blocks to it. This hybrid, however, has nice large oval-shaped traps much like darwinensis, but the pad bowls which was inherited from its fulva parent. Its new leaves grow erect like fulva but begin to lay flat to the ground like darwinensis. This hybrid tends to bloom in late summer. It does divide.
